Völkl's R FIS SL race ski offers easier handling than the World Cup model for smaller, lighter-weight racers at the U14 and U16 levels. These top-level slalom skis feature World Cup technologies, including the Tailored Carbon Tip, where carbon fibers are embroidered onto a carrier material for precise torsion control. This offers a direct and reliable shovel response, allowing a more direct approach at the gate. The two-layer Titanal, multi-layer wood core and full sidewalls provide dynamic stability. This race ski comes with the Marker World Cup plate, offering excellent power transmission, edge grip and dynamics.

TAILORED CARBON TIP
The latest Volkl technology is Tailored Fibre Placement. The Tailored Carbon Tips are produced in an innovative manufacturing process by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned precisely along stress lines, delivering just the right response from the tip during turn initiation. The stiffness and torsion can be adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the parts of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are lightweight and allow the ski to build up energy, getting the skier into the turn quickly with incredible control and precision.
POWERED BY TITANIUM
Constructed of extra thin and strong aluminum alloy providing perfect dampening characteristics. The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic, especially friends of a hard, fast, and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
3D.GLASS
3D.GLASS is Völkl’s development to furthermore improve overall ski performance and stability even in critical snow conditions. Compared to classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

MULTI-LAYER WOOD CORE
A combination of lighter, softer poplar wood and heavier, stronger beech wood provides an ideal blend of lightweight, strength, durability and damping: The beech typically concentrates where the most power is needed in the ski, such as under the binding or alongside the edges and sidewalls.
FULL CAMBER
A smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and flex. Full Camber gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. As soon as the ski is on edge, the skier gains uninterrupted edge contact. The more the ski is on edge, the more effective the edge becomes. The resulting smoothness and predictability are truly uncanny.
RACE FINISH
World Cup skis come with special edge angles for better grip in fast and tight turns.
Zebra Base Structure
The Zebra pattern is a more aggressive base structure to offer the best possible precision & steering characteristics for the front of the skis.
